The 2019 Pinarello Bolide was available in both Bolide TT (Time Trial) and Bolide TR/TR+ (Triathlon) frameset versions, with the TR+ model specifically optimized for disc brakes and triathlon-specific storage.
Key Features
Frame Material: The frames were constructed from Pinarello's high-strength Torayca T1100 1K Dream Carbon with Nanoalloy Technology, which provides an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio.
Aerodynamics: The Bolide featured numerous aerodynamic innovations, including a concave downtube to reduce turbulence caused by water bottles, integrated brakes (on the TT model), and a fully integrated carbon handlebar and stem system.
Internal Cable Routing: All models featured internal cable routing for a clean look and reduced aerodynamic drag.
Geometry: The geometry was aggressive and speed-oriented, designed to help riders achieve their most aerodynamic position.
Bottom Bracket: The frames used an Italian threaded bottom bracket.
Components: While sold primarily as a frameset, complete bike builds often featured high-end electronic groupsets like Shimano Ultegra Di2 or SRAM Red eTap AXS.

Bolide TT: This was the UCI-legal version designed for professional time trial races, optimized for rim brakes and the lightest possible weight.
